Roy Lee Adams

Roy Lee Adams, 65, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017.  Born on October 11, 1951 in Rockford, the son of William and Gladys (Harris) Adams; married Paula E. Gitchel on December 19, 1970.  Roy attended Rockford schools and followed in the family cement contracting business and also worked at Camcar as a Class A machinist.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; children, Nikole L. (Kenneth) Parks-Hanvy, Troy A. (Jill Kubatzke) Adams and Tamee M. (Sarah Osborn) Adams; grandchildren, Ashlee and Michael Reynolds, Bradlee Parks, Zoe and Cameron Adams, Austin Hanvy, Jack Adams-Osborn; great-grandchildren, Katelynn and Nikoli Bawker; siblings, Georgiann (James) Carrell, William "Bill" (Sharon) Adams, Jr.; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; brothers, James T. and Grover A. and sister, Opal Bradley.
