Rockford - Rose Gibbs, 74, of Rockford, passed away Monday, May 26, 2008. Born October 17, 1933 in Supply, Arkansas to Jess and Oma Bell (Sorrels) Beaman. Married Thomas Gibbs in 1949 in Arkansas. Rose loved fishing, hunting and cooking. Survivors include her son, Thomas Gibbs, Chicago; daughters, Susan Lipford, Rockford, and Caroline (Alan) Filewich, Indiana; brothers, John (Helen) Beaman, Rockford, Jessie (Joyce) Beaman, Machesney Park and Bill (Carol) Beaman of IL; sisters, Ila Purkapile and Mary Diaz, both of Rockford; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one on the way. Predeceased by parents, husband, daughter, Tammy Gibbs, one brother and one sister. Visitation Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 3 to 5 p.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel, 4311 N.
