Martha L. Bentley

Martha L. Bentley, 79, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.  She was born in Minturn, Arkansas on February 5, 1937, the daughter of George and Lura (Smith) Dunivent. Married Orville Phillips in January of 1952 in Piggott, Arkansas; married Elmer Bentley in August of 1964 in Rock Island, IL.  She owned different restaurants in Rockford and was employed by General-Electric, Reed Industries and retired from Atwood Mobile in 2001 after 20 years of service.  She was a member of Silver Hill Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include brothers, James Sexton of Minturn, Arkansas and Tony (Annie) Sexton of Hoxie, Arkansas; sisters, Juanita (Russell) March of Reno, Arkansas and Glenda (Fred) Wantland of Pocahontas, Arkansas; four sons, Ron (Pat) Phillips of Machesney Park, Jim Phillips of Rockford, Allen (Heidi) Bentley of Rockford and Larry (Trish) Bentley of Rockford; numerous grandchildren; step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by husband; parents; two sisters; brother and two step-sons.

Funeral service will be at 11:30am with a visitation from 10:00am until the service on Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park.  Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
