Genevieve M. Prentice

Genevieve M. Prentice, 94 of Rockford passed away Friday, March 17, 2017. Born December 20, 1922 in South Beloit to Claude and Jenny (Lofgren) Long. Married Gerald Anderson; he predeceased her in 1950. Married Claude Prentice in 1951; he predeceased her in 1976. Genevieve enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors; and quality time with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include sons, Larry (Patricia) Anderson, Robert (Melody) Anderson; grandchildren, Eric Anderson, Scott (Amy) Anderson, Sarah (Josh) Fritz; Joshua Anderson, James (Karen) Grisanzio, Elizabeth (Rick) Rundblade, son-in-law, Michael Grisanzio; great grandchildren, Dacota, Logan, Olivia, Noah, Kayla, Michael, Samantha, Luke, and Connor. Predeceased by first husband, Gerald; second husband, Claude; daughter, Sally Grisanzio; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
