Bonnie Mae Bolander

Bonnie Bolander, 79, of Rockton, IL, passed away in her home on December 19, 2014.  She was born on August 17, 1935 in Madison, WI.  She married Richard Bolander in 1958 and recently celebrated 56 years of marriage.  She was a longtime member of The First Baptist Church of Beloit.  She was an active member of many of the church circles at both the local and state level.  She enjoyed camping, gardening, and cooking, but most of all, she enjoyed her family and friends spending time talking and laughing. 

She is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Jeff (Linda), Bob (Pat), Tim (Stephanie), and Carrie (Tim); 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family thanks her network of caregivers through Beloit Regional Hospice for their compassion, gentle nature, and kindness.  With deepest gratitude to her personal caregiver and friend, Sue Strickler.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014, in The First Baptist Church, 617 Public Ave., Beloit, WI. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory – Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe, and again in the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Beloit Regional Hospice.
