Paul A. Cox, Sr.

Paul A. Cox, Sr., 99, of Roscoe, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Fair Oaks Nursing Home. Born April 24, 1917, in Bulls Gap, TN, the son of James and Gertrude (Foshie) Cox. Married Florence Somers on September 28, 1941; she died April 23, 1993. He was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church. Employed by Mechanics Universal Joint as a Quality Control Inspector and farmed for many years in Roscoe.

Survivors include children, Paul (Charlotte) Cox, Jr., Christina Marks, Sandra (John) Hansen, Raymond (Judy) Cox, Pamela (Richard) Govert; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; four brothers; three sisters; grandson; and two great-grandsons.

Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main St., Roscoe,, IL 61073. Burial in Roscoe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Beloit Regional Hospice.
