Surprise!! I no longer know what I am doing, from one day to the next :)) Too much ... everything has been weighing on us. We know that Sue is no longer with us, because of this deadly virus. We were all, including Sue, VERY seriously socially withdrawn during this VERY long Covid era. That we lost her to this Virus, is difficult to process. We were SO careful and followed all the guidelines. The last thing we would have expected, is that she would die from complications of the virus. Perhaps her trips to the Doctor, Clinics, and/or inpatient/outpatient service areas resulted in this outcome. Her poor little body was just plain worn out. God was merciful.

We are hurting....but we soothe our hearts and minds with the belief that she is no longer in pain or distress of any kind. She is probably wearing herself out, catching up with each of you and enjoying all of God's Blessings!!!!!

Have fun, Heavenly Family and Friends. Thank you, God, for your personal Sacrifices, that allowed us to live here, with Faith in Your Word. We are SO very BLESSED!!!!!!!

I remember Uncle Cecil and Aunt Mary diving up to my Grandma Leda's and Grandpa Manuel's house. It would be summertime and I would be in Colorado visiting from Virginia. I loved hearing that they would be visiting while I was there. They had the coolest black van with a red strip. Like a matchbox car. I had great imaginations of the adventerous roadtrips they would take. I think it contributed to my love of roadtrips as I got older and went out on my own.

I also remember hearing that they were from the Chicago area, and I would think to myself, "Mexicans in Chicago???" I guess it's no stranger than a Mexican from Virginia.

They were always so kind, and had a great sense of humor, especially Aunt Mary. She would joke around with me as much as I wanted (which can be a lot sometimes), but she wouldn't let me get away with being too honorary. She'd scold me in a second if I was getting too cute. I appreciated that in a way; there was comfort in being put in my place, in a loving way, by a loving elder, who seemed very wise...

All my love to those who knew and loved her. I remember her fondly; as if it were yesterday...
