Marilyn L. Gray

Marilyn L. Gray, 89, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in her residence.  Born on January 7, 1928 in Hortonville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arthur H. and Marian H.  (Winters) Hein. 

Marilyn worked in sales for SBC/Illinois Bell Telephone for 30 years.  She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and was a member and past secretary of Ladies Aid, member of XYZ Retired Group, past member of Ladies Evening Circle, member and past treasurer of Chancel Choir, charter member of Hand Bell Choir.  She was also a member and past secretary of Telephone Pioneers and past member and treasurer of Illinois Bell Volunteer Corps.

She is survived by her son, Douglas D. Phillips of Rockford; grandson, Brent J. (Maria) Flemming and their children, Isabel Flemming and Max Flemming, all of New Hampshire; nieces, Susan Owens and Sandy Stubb; special friends, Eileen, Dave, Gloria, Angie, and Bea.  Predeceased by her parents; husband, Donald L. Gray; daughter, Patricia L. Flemming; brother, Verlyn Hein; and a sister and brother in infancy.

At her request there will be no service; cremation rites to be accorded.
