Lewis H. Dammann

Lewis H. Dammann, 69, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016. He was born in Rockford on July 3, 1946 to Joseph and June (Miller) Dammann. He married Joyce Lichtenberg on July 15, 1967 at Burritt Community Church in Wempletown, Illinois. He retired in 2004 from Price Bros. in South Beloit. Lewis enjoyed working with farmers part time for many years and always looked forward to his yearly trip to Utah.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Dammann; son, Lewis J. Dammann; sisters, Barbara (Roger) Christen, Marie (John) Cox and Josephine (Steve) Beck; brother, Bobby (Judy) Dammann; numerous nieces and nephews; special brother-in-law, John (Dixie) Lichtenberg; his beloved dog, Midas. Predeceased by his parents.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at First United Church of God, 3129 Searles Ave. Rockford, IL 61101 with Pastor Clarence Christiansen officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to Alpine Fireside Health Center, 3650 N. Alpine Rd., Rockford, Illinois 61114.
