Lesa Ann Wood

Lesa Ann Wood, 55, of Loves Park passed away Friday, July 21, 2017.  Born July 30, 1961 to Kenneth and Alma Wood.   Lesa was such a wonderful caregiver working for St. Joe Hospital and later the Belvidere YMCA.  At the YMCA she thrived as she was able to watch over all the children in daycare.  She had such a knack for always putting others needs before her own.  For example, if she was walking down the street and had a candy bar she so desperately wanted but saw someone hungrier, she would give the candy bar to the stranger.  Her love for animals resonates to all around her. Her passing truly is felt by all those around her, however all those around her are truly proud of the life she lived.  She was so unconditionally loved and will be dearly missed.

Lesa is survived by her husband, Lawrence; son, Josh; step-children, Larry, Jason and Nicole; and granddaughter, Mollie.

Graveside service is to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in Scottish Argyle Cemetery, Pickens Road, Caledonia 61011.
