Oh dearest Joanie, my sweet sweet sister and friend. Time took us in different directions and we lost touch for a while. I am sad to learn that you and Roy have both passed on but happy to know you are together. I cannot picture you without your Roy. You both forever touched my life and were the best friend anyone could want. Holy Hill.....hands raised....dancing before the Lord.....free in Spirit!! We shared the best of our Lord together. I send kisses and hugs to you both until we meet again. Love you Joanie.

Dear Hardy Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you enter into the memorial service for Joan. My heart is filled with wonderful thoughts and memories. It seems like only yesterday when I would stop by the house. Roy would counsel; Joan would listen. After a long season of listening, she would often ask if we could pray. That is what I remember the most, the sweet voice of Joan as she prayed over the needs of which we had spoken, and more often than not, she would pray directly but kindly to the root of those challenges that kept me from being whole in every way. Later she would pray over Lynn and I and our marriage and ministry. We often ate an impromptu meal at the Hardy house, though Joan always seemed to have extra for visitors (and there were often visitors dropping in for prayer and fellowship and the chance to be loved). I remember Joan welcoming us to the 'big family' and the model that was for Christian life. I remember most an image of Joan from when I was leading worship at Gloria Dei one evening. We had barely met. Joan was near the back of the church with her hands raised, her eyes moist, radiant with God's glory. That is the image I will take with me till I see her again in heaven (for that has always been her true home). Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May your memories grow sweeter with each passing day; may you enjoy the fellowship of your family and friends as you celebrate this life that was so well lived. Blessings, George & Lynn Puia

I will always think of Roy and Joan as the most important people who ever came into my life! God set them into my life at a time when I desperately needed help to journey through this life. They were always there to listen and to help me. They truly shown to me the love of god and the commitment to others. I will always try to do the same in honor of them. I spent much time with them and I know first hand how much they loved the Lord Jesus and their children and grandchildren. They always talked about them and we looked at pictures many times. You all were truly blessed with these two wonderful people in your lives.

As you experience this earthly grief, be reminded of heaven's joy.
Joan, a pilgrim of eternity, has gone to seek God in a more enduring substance.
There will be a reunion, in a place where time will constrain us no more.
