Dear Aidan, Jeff, Nancy, Gary and family - My heart goes out to you and your entire family. Jim meant so much to all of us and always will! From the early years of our friendship on the playground at St. James school, the old neighborhood and mutual group of friends to his most recent battle, he always met challenges with caring, humility, laughter/sense of humor, purposefulness and bravery. Our last words to one another a few weeks ago on return from his most recent recent trip to his physician in Chicago, were " I love you buddy". He has shown us the way. Mike

Sorry to hear about another bright life taken to soon. I will always remember when James would come into the station in Cherry Valley. He always had a smile on his face and a something comical to talk about.

Dear Family of JAMES Oberts,

I am writing to express my sincere sympathy for the loss of your loved one.
You can be assured that comfort and hope are found in the pages of the Bible.
The bible book of Revelations 21:4 speaks of this hope for the future, for all who deal with grief :
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes,
and death will be no more,
neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
The former things have passed away.”
I hope these promises from GOD will bring a measure of comfort, please keep those memories of your loved one close.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Sandi Watkins

Dear Jeff and Aidan, We are sorry to hear and read of your Dad's passing. Over the years of visiting with you and your Dad & Mom when we'd come up to the Lange's or Rockford, he was always the same kind and gentle man. He was always so proud of you both and the Grandchildren.

To the family Jim was a great friend. He fought a great fight. I will cherish the memories of our teen years, and growing up together with our group of friends. He had a great sense of humor and he loved to laugh. He will be missed.

Nancy, Jeff and family: So sorry to hear about the passing of Jim. He always made me laugh when I was around him. So glad I got to see him at St. Annes on several occasions during the past year.
