Irene was always so nice to my brother and I. Chad and I were fortunate to travel the country with Grandpa Clarence and Grandma Eleanor Hughes (Irene's aunt) when we were kids in the 80's. Irene always made us feel at home at their place in Rockford when we were far away on our travels. We got to be great friends with her kids/our cousins Dale and Darcy too! We cherish those times. Sending our condolences and love to Darcy and fam. So sorry we couldn't make the service.

To Irene's family; I went all thru grade school w/Irene; our parent's knew each other & seems to me that Vince played in a band? Not real sure of that, but back then in Superior(& all over the country) we had just came thru a war, but everyone one knew everyone in town, so there were connections w/families; good times~! I always liked your Mom & we would walk home from school together as far as she went, so we got to know each other pretty well, but in high school I switched to a different school, so we lost touch. I sent her a card when her Mom died & we kept in touch for a while, but drifted apart again. Am so sorry she's gone & my deepest sympathy to all who loved her.

Condolences to Sis Irene's family. I know she is celebrating her life at a big family reunion with beloved friends and family who passed before her. Brother Bill and Dale undoubtedly held the candles that lit her way home. - Sarah and Kathy
