Gary C. Evans

Gary C. Evans, 70, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He was born on December 24, 1946 in Canton, Illinois to John and Nona (Wright) Evans. Gary was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Air Force. He married Geraldine Wensko on July 18, 1970 and have been married for 47 years. Gary worked at Gates Rubber for 35 years. He enjoyed camping in Wisconsin, hunting and fishing and was a member of the LLL Club. 

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Evans; children, Nicole (Jeff) Linley, David (Mary) Evans and Daniel Evans; grandchildren, Deonta, Audra, Christian, Caleb, Damiun and Caedum; sister, Margie Black; brothers, Terry Evans and James Evans. Predeceased by his parents; one sister and three brothers. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd. Loves Park, Illinois 61111 with visitation from 5:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
