Dana and family,
Many of your fans and customers did not know of your loss until last week when we entered the World's Best Car Show/Auction at Kissimmee. We are so sorry for your loss but your Dad/Granddad has to be so proud of all of you for another wonderful performance, albeit following such a sad event. Our thoughts and prayers go with you all.

Eddie used to dance and sing (made-up songs) down the steps in his PJ's at Tullocks Woods. What a stitch, always a sense of humor. And he told the best jokes ever. He made cute nicknames for many, i.e. "Megan Brown."
He was a good cook and hosted great feasts, and breaking bread with Edward and Shirley was a joy. He always had a story to share and energy, excitement and love for people, life and yes, cars.
Edward the generous optimist was tremendously good to us and for us - such a blessing. Growing up and growing old with Eddie and Shirley has been an awesome adventure. He will be dearly missed, but the memories treasured.
Much Love and God Speed!

Hi ED....somehow I know your listening...for only knowing you a short time...I already loved you....it was your warm demeanor...your gentle eyes...that sweet little smerk and smile....you were a kind soul....I wish we could of worked together longer...but God called you home....Oh how I wish you could of stayed...I wish we could of turned things around...that was our goal and what we were striving for as your care team...Somehow I see you zooming around in Heaven now...watch over your beautiful wife and family....you have all the answers now Ed.....it was an honor being part of your care team...getting to know such a sweet and kind man...RIP...Jackie

Mr. Mecum (as I called him) will always have a special place in my heart. He and my dad had such a great friendship. I always looked forward to purchasing a car from him because he took his time to talk to me and inquire about my family. His generosity with sponsoring the "Mecum" American Legion baseball teams that my Dad coached, was one of the highlights of my family's life! I can only imagine our fathers together again in heaven.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Eddie will be sadly missed as a true friend and business associate. We have always had so much fun when we were together. When ever I asked him what he was up to the answer was always the same "Helping People". Rest in peace my friend

It was a great blessing to have Eddie Mecum as my dear friend for over 40 years.
The two men I have admired most in my life were my father and Eddie. I will miss him more than I can possibly explain.
He was, and always will be in my mind, a great man.
