Dale Richard Lundquist

Dale Richard Lundquist, 76, of Rockford passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 in Presence St. Anne’s Center surrounded by his family. Born May 15, 1940 in Rockford to Evald and Adelaide (Ecker) Lundquist. A veteran of the US Navy serving during peacetime. Married Linda Hoglund June 19, 1970 in Rockford. Held various sales positions throughout his lifetime. As a member of the Alpine Kiwanis Club, Dale helped to start the Rockford Chapter of the Special Olympics. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan. Dale was known for his kind, friendly, and loveable personality. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, family, and his dream home on the lake.

Survivors include wife, Linda Lundquist; daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Piotrowski, Kristin (Mark) DeBoer; granddaughter, Peyton DeBoer; brother, Robert (Joann) Lundquist; sister, Joan (Jerry) Conde; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Heartland Community Church, 1280 S. Alpine Road, with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be given in Dale’s name to the Special Olympics Illinois, 605 E. Willow Street, Normal, IL 61761.
