I always enjoyed working on projects with Dale. So knowledgeable and such a nice guy. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. I know he will be missed by many.

Dale was the greatest help when we built our new home four years ago. He was patient and worked hard to get out the glitches in our lighting, vacuum system, and intercom. We admired his work ethic and genuinely liked him as a person. We am sorry that he is gone. We will miss him. Our sympathy goes out to his family. He was an exceptional person.

I have worked with Dale for my entire career at John Evans Construction and he was one the best people I ever met. He was so kind, honest, helpful, fun, etc. I could go on and on. We are all so saddened by his early passing, we cared so much for him and will miss him. Our sympathy to his family and his Northern Lights family.

Every TV show that has a "passing", someone says "We're sorry for your loss." Unfortunately, this is not a TV script and as a member of the Rock River Valley Division of the National Model Railroad Association and a fellow model railroader, your loss is also our loss. Dale, your contributions to the Division, and our enjoyment of the hobby will not be forgotten. Meet you at the next station stop.

To Dale's Friends and Family,
I remember Dale from High School, when I saw the post on FB that he had passed I recognized his name and looked him up in our yearbook. The moment I saw his face the one memory that came to me and stuck with me is him laughing. I must had had him in a class and made him laugh? I can see him as if it was yesterday. He was a kind kid and as I see remained that way as an adult.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and co-workers.

Dale has made our old & new homes more beautiful and was such a joy when he did the installations. The last time we saw him was June 3 at Dr Mardini's. He was in such a sunny mood over his new treatments & was such a comfort to me. I had only learned in the last 6 months that we shared CLL & doctor. He was a real gift to his employer & to all who ever met & knew him. I truly feel blessed to have been one of those lucky ones. I will miss his wit, his joy and his smile.

I found it ironic that after reading Dale's obituary, the newspaper posted a brief story referencing an upcoming National Model Railroad Assoc. program which is something Dale could have conducted so well, himself. My Husband, Jim and I have purchased so many light fixtures from Northern IL Lights. Dale could correctly install any intricate, detailed light fixture. Too, he knew how to repair anything electrical.. He was always so polite. Even when he had cancer, he never complained. Through the years whenever I was around Dale, if there was music playing in the background he quietly sang each and every word to a variety of songs. Northern IL Lights is a locally owned business. It speaks so well to that Company that they are loyal to their customers, but more importantly loyal to one another as employees. This can be a rarity in this day and age. We are so sorry that Dale is not having a service. His family would have been surprised by the number of lives he touched. Dale has remained in our prayers, as will his family at this difficult time.dale is a kind soul who will not be forgotten.
