Dudley F. Stukenberg

Loving Father and Grandfather Rockford- Dudley F. Stukenberg, 85, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010, peacefully in his home. Born March 7, 1925 in Forreston, IL, son of Floyd and Beulah (Tadtman) Stukenberg. Married Nola Schoch on June 26, 1949 in The Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy in the Pacific. Retired from Barber Coleman and was self employed for many years in the tree stump removal business. Enjoyed good times with his children, grandchildren, River Boat Casino trips with his daughter Carniel and caring for his home. Especially enjoyed his friends at McDonalds and Burger King. Survivors include his daughters, Carniel Stukenberg, Deborah (Jeffrey) Orput, and Stephanie Lingelbach, all of Rockford; son, Brian (Kathy) Stukenberg of Byron; four grandchildren, Christopher Chuchna, Alanna Lingelbach, Nicole and Rachel Stukenberg; and step grandchildren, Alexandra and J. Maxwell Orput. Predeceased by parents and wife Nola. The family wishes to thank Dr. Hayes for his many years of compassionate care. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September, 22, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road.
