Sandy M. (Ryan) Blum

Sandy M. Ryan Blum, 65, of Rockford, IL passed away Monday morning August 22, 2016 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.  Born September 22, 1950, daughter to Francis and Mary Alice Quinn Ryan of Ohio, IL. Sandy married David Blum of Rockford on September 22, 1991. She was a graduate of Ohio High School and was employed at Rockford Clinic/Health Systems for over 30 years. Our Irish lass never turned down an opportunity to travel and share her adventures with family and friends. 

She is survived by her husband, David Blum of Rockford; sister, Sheila (Jim) Ryan Bacorn of Santa Clarita, CA; stepchildren, Melissa Myers of Jensen Beach, FL and Matthew Blum of Rockford; grandchildren, Hannah and Nathan Myers. Predeceased by sister, Sharon and brother, James.

Visitation will be from 10:30am to 11:30am on Saturday, August 27, 2016 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30pm on Saturday in St. Patrick's Church of Maytown, 1336 Maytown Road, Amboy, IL 61310.  Burial following in St. Patrick's Cemetery.  To share a memory or express condolences, visit honquestfh.com.
