Nicholas J. Jones

Nicholas J. Jones, 22, of South Beloit passed away instantly in a car accident in Beloit, WI on Sunday, July 24, 2016.  Nick was born on June 11, 1994 in Rockton, IL, the son of David and Lezette Jones.  He graduated from Hononegah High School in 2013 and he worked as a 2nd shift supervisor at Plastic Parts International.   Nick played football four years for the Rockton/Roscoe Lions Football before continuing on to play four more years for the Hononegah Indians.  He was very interested in current events. He recorded and watched the Nightly News and always had a comment or opinion.  He enjoyed boating with our family, riding motorcycles, and watching the Green Bay Packers.  He was known and loved by everyone he came in contact with and had a smile and a great sense of humor that would light up a room.  Family meant everything to him, down to his tattoo that reads, "Family Forever".  

He is survived by his parents, David and Lezette Jones; sisters, Brandie (Scott Nielsen) Jones and Emily Jones, all of South Beloit; brother, Alex (Trista Grayned) Jones of Loves Park; nieces, Brooklyn Swanson, Airyanna Grayned and Ciara Jones of Loves Park; nephew, Jaden Jones of South Beloit; maternal grandfather, Frederick Brockway of Roscoe; paternal grandparents, William and Shirley Jones of South Beloit; aunts and uncles, Bruce and Diane Levey, Clyde and Dana Grooms, Douglas and Kandy Jones, Al Brockway and several cousins.  Predeceased by maternal grandmother, Crystal Brockway and his favorite green and yellow parakeet, Mighty Might.

Visitation will be from 11:00am to 2:30pm on Saturday, July 30, 2016 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe, IL 61073.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family.  

Nick will always be remembered, never be forgotten and in our hearts FOREVER!!
