Geraldine A. (McNeany) Rieffer

Geraldine Agnes (McNeany)  Rieffer passed away unexpectedly on one of her favorite holidays, St. Patrick's Day.  This Irish girl was full of life and laughter.  Her two daughters and grandchildren were her world.  She retired from Singer Mental Health Center as Supervising Psychiatric Nurse of Adolescent Unit after almost 30 years.  In her retirement she was very active with Rock Valley College, Keen Age Center, Belvidere Moose Lodge and Belvidere Legion.  She will be missed dearly by everyone that had the privilege to know her.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Rieffer; children, Shannon (Rob) Palmer and Heather (Carson) Breed; grandchildren, Alex and Nick Renko, Jacob and Brooke Gantz, Kylee, Abrianna and Peyton Breed; her special cousin Christine Barto; and many other family and friends too numerous to mention.  Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Agnes McNeany. 

Funeral service will be at 3:00pm with a visitation from 2:00pm until the service on Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park.  Burial in Scottish Argyle Cemetery.
