Gerald "Jerry" B. Lee

Gerald “Jerry” B. Lee, 71, passed away on January 16, 2018 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veteran’s Hospital Hospice Care Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

Jerry was born on April 30, 1946 in Rockford, Illinois to Charles and Elizabeth Lee.  He graduated from Rockford East High School in 1964.  He joined the United States Air Force in 1965 where he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant in 1970.  

Jerry was an engraver and owned Professional Engraving in Rockford.  He was an avid Bears fan and liked playing cards with his buddies. He enjoyed sitting by the Mississippi River watching barges, eagles and wildlife. His true passion was astronomy, stars, planets and constellations.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved Mona; son, Jerry Jr. (Sherry); brothers, Tom, Don, Chuck (Sharon), Bob (Debra), Dick (Darlene), Jim (Pat); and sister, Linda; step-daughters, Lisa (Rick) and Tonia (Aaron); grandchildren, Jaycie, Mitchell, Jerry III, Bryan, Tony, Alex, and Brandi; great-grandchildren, Jerry IV and Willow and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Harold and John; sister, Delores; daughter, Rebecca and granddaughter, Ashley.

Jerry’s family would like to send our love and gratitude to the family who so generously donated a kidney 22 years ago.  It was because of your donation that we were able to love, live, laugh and share life with Jerry for many more years.  

Visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park 61111.  Private family burial.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
