David Seth Sperling

David Seth Sperling, 22, passed away Tuesday, April 4th, 2017. David was born in Rockford, IL, October 20th, 1994. He moved with his parents to Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 2007, where he graduated from Cedar Valley Christian School in 2012. David was a very good student, active in sports, and was chosen to represent his school in the city’s high-school based “Leadership for Five Seasons” program. He enjoyed puzzles, reading (his favorites included Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and the Bible), music, home building projects, his pup Charlie, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. His most memorable adventure was taking a round-the-USA camping trip with his three brothers.

David is survived by his parents, Steven and Ruth Sperling; siblings, Crystal (Mark) Khoury, Chris, Matt, and Phil (Jess); two nieces and a nephew; three grandparents; Pastor Ralph and Eunice Martin of Rockford, IL, and Richard Sperling of Bremerton, WA; numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins, all of whom loved David very much. He is desperately missed and has left a huge hole in the hearts of his family. Our hope is that we will see him again in heaven, based on David’s confession of faith in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd. Loves Park, IL 61111 with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial at Scottish Argyle Cemetery.
