Beverly D. Molencupp

February 5, 1934 ~ March 17, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years Old


Beverly D. Molencupp, 83, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at Cherryvale Place.  Born February 5, 1934 in Rockford, daughter of Walter and Pauline (Graham) Wince.  Living all her life in Rockford, she married Oscar Molencupp on May 10, 1952 in Pocahontas, AR.  Along with Oscar, she was a charter member of North Love Baptist Church and was a homemaker that raised three children.  She loved a good laugh, enjoyed time spent with friends and grandchildren playing cards, seeing new places and loved sports...she was even able to see the Chicago Cubs win the World Series.  

Survivors include sons, Barry (Karen) of Machesney Park and Brian (Kris) of Roscoe, IL; daughter, Dawn (Sean) Bonin of St. Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren, Mark (Natalie) Molencupp, Stephanie (Johnny) Wildt, Janell (Jonathan Coley), Karissa (Ryan) Smith, Ryan (Julianne) Molencupp, Laura Molencupp, Joylynn Molencupp, Cory (Doug) Miller, Mike Molencupp, Brock Bonin, and Tanner Bonin; nine great-grandchildren, Nathan Molencupp, Lucas, Katelynn and Jared Wildt, Kyle and Kerianne Coley, Austin and Tyler Smith, and Carson Molencupp.  She was loving called "Candy Grandma" by all of her great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by one sister, Lenita Wood and a host of special friends.  She is predeceased by her parents, one brother, four sisters and her husband.

A special heartfelt thank you to the staff at Cherryvale Place and Heartland Hospice for all the loving care they showed to Beverly over the past two years.

Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in North Love Baptist Church, 5301 E. Riverside Blvd., Rockford 61114 with Rev. Dr. Paul Kingsbury officiating.  Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday evening in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 North Mulford Road, Loves Park.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heartland Hospice.  Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
