Alyssa M. Defendi

Alyssa M. Defendi, 18, of Loves Park passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 due to a fatal car accident; she passed at 11:28 p.m. surrounded by loved ones. She was born on September 17, 1998 in Rockford.

Alyssa graduated from Harlem High School in 2017 and was employed as a shipping clerk by Globe Precision Machining with her family. Her hobbies included outdoor activities such as hunting and shooting.  She loved her big diesel truck, horses and working for Ron and Nikki Perrine at the Rockin PJJR Ranch in Rockton.  She always thought of Ron and Nikki as her second parents.  Alyssa is looking down on us and will forever be in our hearts.

She is survived by her parents, Jeremy and Casey (Nichols) Defendi; brother, Dylan; boyfriend, Luke Paluzzi; grandparents, Kerry and Dawn Defendi; grandma, Crystal Nichols; grandma, Tammy Kennedy; aunts and uncles, Troy and Breanna Nichols, Danny Defendi (Heidi Heaton), Cyndie Nichols, Chelsey (Travis) Owen, Ray and Courtney Faulkstrom; and numerous cousins; great aunts and uncles; great-grandparents and friends who all love her very much.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.
