Zackary R. Lyons

Zackary Richard Lyons, beloved son, 26, of Rockford, IL passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 unexpectedly. He was born in Rockford, IL on January 21, 1996 to Richard and Michelle (Dawson) Lyons. Zackary worked as an IT technician at various locations after his discharge from the Marine Corps. He loved family, friends and pets. He was always smiling, laughing and living life to the fullest. He made friends everywhere he went.

He is survived by his parents, Richard John Lyons and Michelle (Dawson) Lyons; brother, Nathan Michael Lyons; grandparents, Michael and Rawnie Lynn Dawson, Denise and Vito Petrielli, and Larry Lyons; aunts and uncles, Brad (Kay) Dawson, Jon (Kristina) Dawson, Jennie (James) Tipton, Peter (Corrine) Lyons, Joe (Julie) Lyons, Dan (Jennifer) Lyons, Lindsey (Greg) Jarr; cousins, Brianna, Deshawn Barnett, Dillon, Jenna, Joseph Tipton, Emily Dawson, Noah and Morgan Dawson, Hope, Camille, Lauren, Tristan Lyons, Lydia, Luke Lyons, Savannah Lyons, Cami Jarr; fiancé, Evenly Hinojosa-Sanchez; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by grandfather, John “Jack” Gazouski and step grandmother, Cheryl Gazouski.

Funeral service with full military honors will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 26, 2022 in City First Church, 5950 Spring Creek Road, Rockford with a visitation from 10:00 AM until time of the service.
