Yuen-Chen Yang Obituary

Yuen-Chen Tsui Yang, 92, of Spring Hill, TN formerly of Rockford, IL was gently ushered into heaven on June 27,2020. Born in Suzhou, China, she was an elementary school teacher before leaving China to marry Chia Shan Yang; who predeceased her in 2017. They shared 64 years together in Taiwan, the U.S. (NY, NJ, IL) and had four children, Sara (Alfred), Samuel (Connie), Joshua (predeceased in 2015) (Esther) and Ruth (James); 13 grandchildren, Mark (Lauren), James (Sarah), David (Ali), Cari, Matthew, Rebecca (Wyatt), Melissa (Jordan), Micah (Madeline), Benjamin, Jonathan, Emily, Anna and Kathleen; and 9 great-grandchildren, Brady, Zoe, Sadie, Layla, Amelia, Nathan, Molly, Ella, and Eleanor. Elena Polyakova and Nastya Skosareva were like family to her in Kyrgyzstan. She is also survived by 3 sisters and a brother and their families in Suzhou.

Yuen-Chen was a humble woman of God and the beloved heart of her family.  A strong prayer warrior, she selflessly thought of others’ needs into her final moments. A wonderful cook and hostess, lifelong Bible student and past Sunday School teacher, she was a mother figure and spiritual mentor to many. In 1996, she and Chia Shan started Central Asia Sharing Aid in Rockford, IL to share Christ with youth in the Muslim nation of Kyrgyzstan. Together they formed Mercy Charitable Christian Foundation (MCCF). See www.casa-mission.org to learn about their ministry and current collaboration with G.L.E.C. of California. Yuen-Chen was grateful for all churches and individuals who supported their ministry. The family is grateful for the love, care and prayers of friends and family from around the world.
