Wilma Jean Johnson

Wilma J. Johnson, 93, of Rockford, passed away January 25, 2023. Born October 4, 1929, in Harper, IL, the daughter of Fred and Nellie (Thomas) Van Brocklin. She married Wallace Johnson on January 16, 1948. She wore many different hats and served in several different positions throughout her working life. Wilma made the best ham sandwiches and lasagna, enjoyed music and playing games and had a great sense of humor. Her family meant everything to her and she will be missed.

Survivors include son, Steve (Helen) Johnson; grandchildren, Teresa (Don) McKibben, Tammy (Shawn) Anderson, Roger  Johnson, Luella Huff and William (Kimberly Ann) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Brian  Sosnowski, Kyle and Nicole Sosnowski, Alyssa and Savanna Anderson and Brittney, Christian and Alex. Predeceased by her husband, Wallace; children, Connie (Don) Kay White and Rick Johnson; parents, Nellie and Fred Van Brocklin; sister, Hazel School and brothers Orville, Dale, and Walter Van Brocklin.

Memorial service will be Sunday, January 29, 2023, at 3:00 PM in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory - Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main St. with a memorial visitation from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
