Wanda Jean Stuckey, 82, of Rockford, formerly of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born in Caruthersville, Missouri on December 23, 1941 to Glen and Mary Lucille (Abbott) Slayton. She married Harold G. Stuckey on May 9, 1960. Wanda retired from Rockford School District as a secretary and was a fan of NASCAR racing.
She is survived by her children, Keith M. Stuckey and Steven C. (Janet) Stuckey; grandchildren, Stephanie D. (Brian) Lapinski, Samantha M. (Ross) Stuckey, Madelyn N. Stuckey and Michael K. Stuckey; and niece, Erin E. Slayton. Predeceased by her parents; husband; brothers, Ronald D. Slayton and Jerry Slayton; and granddaughter, Megan E. Stuckey.
Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockford.
