Vickey L. Gummerus

Vickey Lynn Gummerus, 68, of Belvidere, IL passed away after a painful illness which she endured with strength and compassion on August 29, 2025. She was born on April 14, 1957, the daughter of Elmer and Edna (Crimmins) Loofboro.  She attended Belvidere schools and married her husband, Richard Gummerus, on December 11, 1976.  She worked at the Pacemaker Deli until she raised her children, Eric and Nicole. Vickey was a pet lover and had many cats and dogs. She spent many years socializing at local clubs with live bands and dancing.

Survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Nicole (Mark) Garlick; grandsons, Tyler and Nicolas Garlick; brothers, Leslie Loofboro and Robbie Loofboro (Sandy Cayler); sister, Vivian Hendricks; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Loofboro, Sue Gummerus, and Karen Ethington; and brothers-in-law, John (Sue) Gummerus and Tom (Jennifer) Gummerus. Predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Edna (Crimmins) Loofboro; son, Eric Gummerus; brother, Gary Loofboro, and brothers-in-law, Robert Gummerus, Robert Hendricks and John Ethington.
