Troy Lee Harris

Troy Lee Harris, Sr., age 75, passed away at home in Roscoe, IL on Friday, September 9, 2022. He was born on October 25, 1946, son of the late Luther and Lillie Mae Harris of Chesapeake, VA.  

Troy is survived by his loving wife, Rachel (Carmody) of whom he was married to for 56 years. They have three children, daughters, Kelly (Paul) Holland, Columbia, KY, Terri (Matthew) McCoy, Readyville, TN; son, Troy Jr. (Jessica) Harris, Roscoe, IL; 11 grandchildren, Brandon McCoy, Patrick (Paula) Olson, Michael Olson, Brittany (Jake) Todd, Delaney, Payton, Hunter & Collin Harris, MacKenzie (Hunter) Havens, Devin (Katie) Burus, Brittney (Adam) Sutherland; 9 great-grandchildren, Jaxson McCoy, Isaiah Olson, Kaydan Olson, Boston & Bella Burus, Harper & Holden Havens, Paisley & NIcholas Sutherland; a sister, Rena Butt; and a brother, Joseph Harris. He is preceded in death by a brother, Luther “Bubba” Harris, Jr. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Robinson Funeral Home, 667 Court Street, Appomattox, VA 24522 with Rev. Duane Carmody officiating. Burial following in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home. Robinson Funeral Home and Honquest Family Funeral Home handled arrangements.
