Tina Wernick passed away on June 11, 2026, after a sudden illness. Tina was born on October 18, 1962, in Leytonstone, London, England.
Tina married Randall Wernick in Rockford, Illinois, on 31 January 1987. Tina met Randall in Bury St Edmunds, England, in 1984 at the local roller-skating rink/Pub. Tina was a very supportive mother and housewife. Tina moved with Randall to Tacoma, Washington, later in 1987. They were then assigned to Ramstein, Germany, from 1987-1991, and then on to Bury St Edmunds, England, from 1991-2003. Tina moved to Randall’s hometown of Rockford, Illinois, in 2003 upon his retirement from the US Air Force.
Tina loved being with all her grandkids, travelling back to England regularly to visit family, walking, and spending time in her garden on sunny days. You could also always catch her watching the Travel Channel Ghost Adventures and EastEnders from England.
Tina is survived by her husband of 39 years, Randall Wernick; mother, Rita (Jim Baxter) DeCarteret, sisters, Corrine Crouch, Susan (Richard) Pickett DeCarteret, brother, Terry (Wendy) DeCarteret, all of England; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Bertrand, Julie (Randy) Torgerson, Gregory (Christine) Wernick Sr, all of Illinois; sons and daughters; Nigel (Gemma) DeCarteret, Crystal (Barry) Holliday all of England, Shane (Angela) Wernick, Brittany (Luis Manchaca) Wernick all of Illinois; grandchildren, Callum, Aidan & Katelyn Holliday, Owen, Leah, Riley, Kelsey, & Kylee DeCarteret all of England, Daniel, Emily & Olivia Wernick, Poppy Manchaca all of Illinois; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in England and Illinois.
