Terri Lynn Hemphill

Terri Lynn Hemphill, 56, of Machesney Park, passed into Glory on April 16, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 27, 1964 in Rockford, IL to Maurice and Bonnie (Gerke) McClaskey. Terri met the love of her life, Curt, in 1981. By the first date they knew they would spend eternity together. They were married on June 28, 1986 and were blessed with two children, Kyle Dean and Amber Lynn. Terri loved spending time with her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say to everyone she met. Terri's hugs were amazing! She had a passion for cooking and crocheting and enjoyed listening to country music, Pixar movies, camping, attending Cranberry Fest, family gathering and margaritas. 

Survivors include her loving husband, Curt; two children, Kyle (Courtney) Hemphill of Fitchburg, WI and Amber Hemphill of Loves Park; four cats, Rocket, Frankie, Tater and Ajax; mother, Bonnie McClaskey; sister, Shellie (Butch) Smith of Rockford; mother and father-in-law, Beryl and Beverly Hemphill and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Predeceased by her father, Maurice McClaskey and maternal and paternal grandparents. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111 with a memorial service starting 2:00 p.m.
