Terri L. Carpenter

Terri L. Carpenter, 61, of Machesney Park, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on January 1, 1959 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Warren and Shirley (Plant) Wheeler. Terri married Ricky Carpenter August 8, 2008 in Rockford. She worked in food service at Harlem High School. Terri had a passion for gardening and enjoyed listening to music. She also enjoyed the ocean and tanning on the beach. Family was most important to her and she loved spending time with them. 

Survivors include her husband, Ricky Carpenter; children, Jaime Schmidt, Lyndsee Jacobson, Ashley Jacobson, Joey Carpenter, Kelsey Carpenter, Adam Carpenter and Lucas Carpenter; grandchildren, Sydney, Quintin, Corey and Braxton; great-grandchildren, Noah and Zayden; brothers, Scott and Todd Wheeler. Predeceased by her parents. 

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, Illinois 61111 with Pastor Anthony Maynard officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
