On September 16, 2022 Tammy Stripling passed away at home surrounded by family. Tammy battled Breast Cancer twice. She was 53 years old. She was born March 29, 1969.
Tammy is survived by her mother, Vera Hammer; her sisters, Dawn (Jeff) Richman and Kathryn Neblock; her children, Ashley Garman, Chelsey (Rick) Stonecipher, Liz Stripling and Alex Stripling. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, James Stripling; her father, George Hammer; her son, James T. Stripling; mother-in-law, Carol (Alan) Stripling and both her grandparents.
Tammy was born and raised in the Rockford area. She attended and graduated from Harlem High school. Tammy had two daughters of her own and later married James Stripling. He had two children of his own and together they had a son. They shared a once in a lifetime love. Tammy and James were the definition of true love and best friends. Tammy was a travel agent for over 20 years. She worked at Scenic Travel. She loved traveling and learning about new places. She loved helping others and was well known for her giving heart. Tammy had a way of making many of her children friends a part of the family. Besides traveling Tammy had a strong passion for reading and shopping.
Funeral service for Tammy Stripling is scheduled for 6:30 PM Friday, September 23, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park with a visitation from 5:30 PM until the time of service.
