Tamara "Tami" Hardin

Tamara “Tami” Hardin, of Machesney Park, passed away on Dec 2, 2025.

Tami was born June 8, 1969, in Rockford, IL, to Lesley and Catherine Ann Bates. She worked for several area eyeglass retailers for 40 years. She met her future husband in high school, Jim Hardin. They were married for 33 years and raised two children, Elyse Hardin Roby and Tim Hardin.

Tami was a loving, hard-working, and dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker in addition to her career helping people to see. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. She and Jim watched as much NFL as time permitted.

Tami is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Hardin of Machesney Park, IL; two children, Elyse (Katy) Roby of Janesville, WI, and Timothy (Jamie) Hardin of Madison, WI; siblings, Shawn (Debi) Bates, Tanya Peterson, Annetta (Barry) Drager, and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lesley; and two nieces, Kelsey Drager and Rachel Hardin.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Honquest Funeral Home. A small private celebration of life will be at a later date.
