Shirley Walter

Rockford - Shirley Walter, 76, passed away on September 28, 2012. She was born on January 11, 1936 in Tennessee and lived in several places before moving to Rockford. She will be remembered for being a loving person to all who knew her. She had such strength and took care of many people in her life who were ill. She loved family and life and believed in living it, always looking for adventure with a smile. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn (Dave Rodriguez) Taylor of Rockford; son, Steve Walter of Ohio; and several grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Eddie Walter; sister, Barbara Taylor; parents; and her sons, Billy, Stanley and Robert Taylor. A special thank you to P.A. Peterson where she felt at home. Her life will be celebrated with a private family service. Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Road, is honored to have assisted the family.
