Shirley Ann Brodd

Shirley Ann Brodd, 86, of Rockford passed away January 7, 2022. Born September 27, 1935 in Bozeman, MT, the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Carlson) Rognas. A resident of the Rockford area for 65 years moving from Mitchell, SD. Married Loren Brodd on May 6, 1978. Retired from St. Anne’s Place. Shirley loved to read and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. She was a strong remarkable woman, who raised her 6 children on her own. She will be missed by her loving family.

Survivors include children, Lori (Mike) Harris, Linda Westholder (Mike Stebner), Steve (Trudy) Mussigman, Bruce Mussigman (Marisa Uribe-Alpizar), Chris (Beth) Brodd; grandchildren, Lucas (Jan Huey) Harris, Matt (Sheena) Harris, Alex (Jenn Powell) Harris, Michael Hallstrom, Chad Westholder, Tommy Westholder, Tania (Drew) Whitfield, Rachel (Zack) Reese, Greg Shott, Aleesha (Kyle) Judd, Austin Mussigman, Jenna (Bryce) Wormet, Lauren Christian Brodd; great grandchildren, Leon, Penelope, Camille, Jackson, Elliot, Kody, Jordan, Aleea, Kaiden, Annalise, Harrison, Lydia, Avery, Bella, Griffen, Kendall, Braylon; sister, Sue (Dale) Mann; and brother, Bill (Rae Jean) Rognas. Predeceased by husband, Loren; parents; daughter, Vicki Shott; son, Mark Mussigman; step son, Mark Brodd; and brother, Dick Rognas.
