Shawn E. Williams

Shawn E. Williams, 53, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 16, 1969 in Rockford to Eugene and Sandra (Warner) Williams. He was a member of Forest City Church. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, spending countless hours remodeling, spending time with his grandsons, and camping. He had spent the last 8 years working for Rockford Mass Transit District. He also spent a lot of his time volunteering at Rock House Kids.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Sandra; children, Luke (Carrie) Williams and Paige (Brad) Henrey; grandsons, Jaxson and Bentley; girlfriend, Maricela Mastache; sister, Shelley (Dave) Behling; nephew, Adam Snow; and niece, Adrianne (Pete) VanAsten. Shawn is predeceased by his father, Eugene; grandparents, Eugene and Dorthy Williams and Harry and Esther Warner.

Celebration of life will be held in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park on Saturday, April 8, 2023. Memorial visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a memorial service following at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to Rock House Kids in Rockford.
