Sharon Holmin

Sharon Holmin, 80, passed away on July 16, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born in Rockford, IL and graduated from East High School. She worked as a nurse at Rockford Memorial Hospital for many years. She had a compassionate spirit and always cared about others.

She is survived by her sons, Michal, Kevin and Kurt; sister-in -law, Ann Downie; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by Richard, her beloved husband of 53 years.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Fairhaven Retirement Center Chapel, 3470 N. Alpine Rd., Rockford, IL 61114.

Sharon's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Fairhaven Retirement Center for the wonderful care they gave her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be be made to Fairhaven for their employee appreciation fund.
