Sara Ann Stickles

Sara Ann Stickles, 28, of Loves Park, passed away after suffering from a brain aneurysm on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. She was born on December 29, 1992 in Rockford to Ezra Stickles and Darla Petit. Sara enjoyed basketball, traveling, reality T.V. and attending concerts. She especially enjoyed country music. Sara had a passion for helping others and was always there for everyone. She loved spending time with her friends and family and her son, Zachary John Gowman Jr. "BZ" was most important to her. 

Survivors include her son, BZ; mother, Darla (Eric) Lathrop; father, Ezra Stickles; sister, Jamie (Freddie Cruz) Stickles; brother, E.J. Stickles; sister, Stephanie Stickles; twin sister, Kara Stickles; half siblings, Elijah, Ethan, Bethany, and Emery Stickles; step brother, Dylan Larkin; grandmother, Judy Petit; her sons father, Zachary Gowman and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Predeceased by her grandmother, Erna Strand; step-siblings, Cody Boardman and Alyssa Lathrop; nephew, Landon Kevin Lightfoot. 

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111 with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to her son, Zachary John Gowman Jr., "BZ".
