Sally Gonzales Bronowski, 79, of Rockford passed away June 25, 2025, after a four year battle with Alzheimer’s. Sally was born on December 10, 1945 in Rockford, IL. She attended St. Mary’s Grade School and Muldoon High School. She enjoyed her career as a beautician as well as being a lunch lady at Boylan High School in the 1990’s and early 2000’s. Sally loved basketball. She was an avid fan of the Boylan boys basketball team in the 1980’s-early 2000’s, as well as Coach K and the Duke Blue Devils. As her disease progressed, the most important thing she enjoyed doing was spending time with her granddaughters, Addison and Gabriella. They made her smile and gave her happiness.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Bronowski; daughters, Erika (Justin) Seivert and Melinda; as well as her precious granddaughters, Addison and Gabriella Seivert. She has joined her mom, Guadalupe Gonzales Canova; her dad, Joseph Gonzales; and her brothers, Art Gonzales and Ed Gonzales in heaven.
Thank you to Sally’s incredible OSF hospice team who helped her and her family throughout this journey.
Per Sally’s request, no services are planned.
