Royal "Butch" F. Billman, Jr.

Royal "Butch" F. Billman, Jr., 75, of Loves Park, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 after a long illness.  Butch was born on June 10, 1949 in Rockford, Illinois, to Royal and Mary Billman.  Butch graduated from Harlem High School in 1968.  He married Connie Nelson in 1969 and they had two daughters.  

After graduating from high school, Butch worked with his father at Royal’s Siding & Gutters.  After Royal, Sr. retired, Butch took over the business.  Later, Butch began a career with CCX and eventually retired at the age of 65.  

Butch loved being on the water.  He enjoyed boating, waterskiing and windsurfing.  Later in life he took up skydiving. 

Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Royal Billman, Sr. and Mary Allan.  Butch is survived by his long time partner, Connie Kelley; his daughters, Wendy (Zachary) Cole of Elon, NC; and Candi (Troy Chaudoir) Billman of Rockford, IL.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at UW Health Swedish American Hospital for the exceptional care.

Butch’s wishes were to have no services.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
