Roxann Lynn Armstrong, treasured wife, mother, daughter, and friend, passed away at home on July 15, 2025, surrounded by her family, leaving behind a legacy of boundless love, unforgettable memories, and a life lived fully on her terms. Born on November 24, 1972, to Harold and Judy Johnson, Roxann was a bright light from the very start. She graduated from Turner High School in 1990 and went on to study at Rock Valley College, where her independent spirit and curiosity about the world began to truly bloom.
On August 14, 1999, she married the love of her life, Michael Armstrong. Together, they built a life rooted in devotion, adventure, and laughter. Roxann was a proud and fiercely loving mother to two daughters, Savanna Hansen and Sierra Armstrong. Her girls were her greatest pride and joy. She raised them to be bold, compassionate, and unstoppable - mirroring the very essence of who she was.
Roxann had a sharp business mind and a deep love for creating. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly through Get Your Bow On!, a vibrant business she built with her daughter. What started as a fun idea blossomed into something that brought joy, style, and connection to so many for over 16 years. She poured her creativity, energy, and heart into it, finding immense pride in building something meaningful with her family by her side.
Roxann was an original in every sense of the word. With a heart bigger than Texas and a spirit as vibrant as the sunsets she adored, she embraced every moment and found every reason to celebrate. She was bougie in the best way, whether it was dressing to the nines for no reason at all, ordering the shrimp cocktail and filet without hesitation, or jetting off to a new city or country just because she could—Roxann lived with style, confidence, and intention. She was also incredibly generous—with her time, her talents, and her love. Roxann never hesitated to show up, give more than expected, or lift others up when they needed it most. Her giving spirit left a mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was sharp, sassy, sentimental, and strong. Her laugh, her stories, her style, and her warmth will be missed in every room she once lit up. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, courage, creativity, generosity, and living life on your own terms.
Her world revolved around her family, and her unwavering love and loyalty were felt in every hug, every word of encouragement, and every sacrifice she made. Roxann was fearless in her pursuits and fiercely determined to make the life she envisioned a reality. She instilled that same spirit in her daughters, who will carry her strength and passion forward. She also leaves behind a tight-knit circle of friends who were more like chosen family. If you were lucky enough to be counted among them, you knew a love that was fierce, honest, and lifelong. Roxann gave her all to those she loved, and in return, she was deeply cherished.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Armstrong; her daughters, Savanna Hansen and Sierra Armstrong; her parents, Harold Johnson and Judy Ward; and countless friends and extended family who adored her.
At Roxann’s request, a private celebration of her amazing life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of love in Roxann’s name—take the trip, dress up, order the fancy dinner, tell your people you love them, and live life out loud, just as she did.
