Ronald Hiatt, 87, of Roscoe, IL, passed away at home on Friday, August 2, 2024. Born February 8, 1937, to Lee and Roma (McKern) Hiatt in Rockford. Married Georgia Taylor on September 23, 1961. He served in the United States Marine Corps. from 1957-1960. Ron was the boss at enjoying life! He loved feeding his wildlife, being silly at garage sales, taking care of his lawn and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include daughters, Bobbie (Edward) Schlueter and Jackie (Brandon) Nason; grandchildren, Scott (Jessica) Bilderback; step-grandchildren, Brooke (Adam) Harper, Hunter Nason and Ava Nason; great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Leeland, Ryan and Chelsea Bilderback; sisters, Viola Schroeder and Doris Peterson; special fur baby, Butterball; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, four sisters, four brothers and his wife.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, especially Wilhelmina, Karen and Amber for their care and compassion. A heartfelt thank you to Steve and Joy White and Heather Kerr.
Burial will be held at the Roscoe Cemetery on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
