Robert "Bob" L. Buckardt

Robert "Bob" L. Buckardt, 93, of Rockford, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII and the Korean War.  Bob retired from the Rockford Board of Education. He was a longtime active member of Court Street United Methodist Church and participated in the church choir, history and bell choir. He was also a trombone playing member of the Old Town Band. Bob enjoyed fishing, golfing and nature watching, especially birds and squirrels. 

Survivors include his six children and their families. He is predeceased by his parents and his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth "Liz". 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Court Street United Methodist Church, 215 N. Court St., Rockford, 61103. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Court Street United Methodist Church or Heartland Hospice.
