Robert Stretz Obituary

Robert Louis Stretz, 93, of Machesney Park passed away Friday, June 12, 2020. Born December 30, 1926 in Clinton, IA, the son of Edward and Gladys (Southcot) Stretz. A veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. Married Mary Ellen Pea on July 27, 1947 in Rockton. Employed by Brearley, Sundstrand, Honeywell, Florida Nuclear Plant and ended his working career at Menards. Robert enjoyed fishing, woodworking, drawing, yard work and building model airplanes.

Survivors include wife, Mary Ellen Stretz; children, Michael (Brenda) Stretz, Randy (Frances) Stretz, Gary Stretz, Linda (Doug) Bice, Lori Cronin; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents; brother, Edward, Jr.; and infant sister.

Private family services are to be held.
