Richard R. Loechler

Richard Ronald Loechler, age 75, of Rockford, IL, passed away on June 8, 2025. Born on July 17, 1949, in Eau Clare, WI. Rich graduated in 1967 from Reseda High School in California. He was a devoted husband to Rose Loechler and a loving father to Tiffany Trotter. He was a sergeant in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on June 30, 1971.

Rich’s hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed retirement life in Palm Desert, CA, where he loved being in the jacuzzi and getting a tan. Rich loved driving his bright yellow Corvette around. He spent his weekends watching his Green Bay Packers play! His love for sports and shopping was something he shared with Tiffany.

He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Trotter; son-in-law, Rocky Trotter; granddaughter, Kailey Trotter; cousins, Ann Loechler and Cindy Loechler; many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory - Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL, 61111, at 6:00 PM, with a visitation starting at 5:00 PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Diabetes Research, a cause close to Dad's heart.
