Raymond Roy Rowland

Raymond Roy Rowland, 76, of Rockford passed away April 24, 2021. Born September 12, 1944 in Rockford, the son of Reuben and Lillian (Doyle) Rowland. Ray was a graduate of Winnebago High School class of 1963. He went on to serve his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. On April 26, 1969, Ray married Imogene Horton in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Pecatonica, IL. Retired after several years from J.L. Clark.

Survivors include wife, Imogene Rowland; daughter, Laura (Mark) Mathison; grandchildren, Jacob Mathison, Philip Meli; and three great granddaughters. Predeceased by parents; brothers, Roger Rowland, Robert Rowland; and son, Danny Rowland.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family to be used in Ray’s name at a later date.
