Randall "Randy" Welch Obituary

Randall “Randy” Lee Welch passed away at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center Friday, May 21, 2021 following a sudden illness at the age of 68, surrounded by his wife and daughter.

 

Randy was born in Rockford, IL on January 9, 1953. He graduated from West High School in 1971. He worked for many years at MTE Hydraulics in Rockford. Randy enjoyed spending time with family, his furry children and grandchildren, camping, golfing, watching NASCAR races and cheering on his favorite football team, Da Bears.

 

Randy is survived by his wife, Penny, of 39 years; daughter, Roxanne (Brandon) Hemerley of Rockford; grandchildren, Michael and Allyson; his mother, Arlyne, of Sioux City, IA; aunt, Phyllis of Sioux City, IA; sister, Vicki (John) Hanson of Saddle Brook, AZ; brothers; Dennis (Debra) of Gilbert, AZ, Scott (Louise) of Lakewood, CO and Gregg (Janey) of Woodstock, IL; sister-in-law, Denise Ackerman of Rockford; brother-in-law, Edward (Stacey) Stucke of Rockford; along with numerous nieces and nephews; special “daughters” Amanda Ann of The Woodlands, TX and Lisa Kemp of Rockford. He is predeceased by his sister, Robin Baril and father, Norman Dexter Welch.

 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
